Commission Eyeing Changes to Rhode Island’s STRs

A special Rhode Island legislative commission studying the economic and social effects of the short-term rental industry recently convened to consider policy recommendations for the General Assembly. The meeting came just weeks after Governor Dan McKee put forward his budget plan for the upcoming fiscal year, which includes adding a 5% hotel tax to certain short-term rentals.
