Dearborn Bans STRs in Residential Areas, Single-Family Homes

The city council in Dearborn, Michigan passed sweeping restrictions to where short-term rentals can operate in the city. The amendments to the city's zoning, which will take effect January 1, prohibit rentals in the city's residential zones and in single-family homes. Property owners will have to register their rental units and maintain a license with the city.
