Escapia Appoints Joel Schoen as General Manager

Escapia, Expedia Group’s property management software platform, has appointed Joel Schoen as its new general manager. Schoen brings nearly 20 years of experience in hospitality and vacation rental technology, including leadership roles as CEO of CiiRUS Vacation Rental Solutions and principal at STR Ventures Group, along with previous positions at Choice Hotels, BookingPal, and Luxury Retreats. He will oversee Escapia’s strategy, operations, and product development, focusing on modernization and improving user experience. Tim Rosolio, vice president of vacation rental partnerships at Expedia Group, said Schoen’s operational experience would help shape the platform’s next phase of growth.
