Former Fund for the Arts Building in Downtown Louisville to Become Short-Term Rentals

12/9/2025

A building in downtown Louisville that was once home to Fund for the Arts will soon provide short-term living quarters to visitors to the city. Dan Noonan is the new owner of the four-story, 20,000-square-foot Mary Bingham Jane Norton building. He plans to convert it into short-term rentals. The second, third and fourth levels will be renovated into five residential units with 13 bedrooms that can house as many as 40 residents. The first floor and mezzanine, which total 4,500 square feet, will remain available for lease. "We are looking for an anchor tenant that provides some good synergy with the residential units," Noonan remarks. "With 40-plus built-in visitors at a time, I think there is some real opportunity to find a great partner that fits in with the development." Noonan purchased the building earlier this summer for around $1.5 million.
