HomeToGo and SQUAKE Partner for 14Trees Project

HomeToGo has partnered with SQUAKE, a provider of end-to-end solutions for sustainable travel, on a product that allows travelers to compensate for the carbon emissions associated with their vacation rental stays. Integrated into HomeToGo’s booking process, SQUAKE’s technology calculates an individual vacation rental booking’s carbon emissions in real time using a unique calculation algorithm that is based on a number of travel-specific input factors such as destination, vacation rental size, and number of people traveling. The compensation collected will directly contribute to the development of 14Trees, an environmental project that builds 3D printed affordable housing in Malawi. Patrick Andrae, co-founder and CEO of HomeToGo, said, “HomeToGo is proud to be the first in the vacation rental space to partner with SQUAKE to empower travelers to make more environmentally educated choices."
