Hospitable introduced an automated trip insurance upsell for short-term rental hosts. Integrated directly into the guest portal, the feature offers travel protection up to 24 hours before check-in, creating a post-booking revenue opportunity. Guests can purchase coverage, while hosts earn commission on each policy sold—averaging around $19.80 per policy, with some earning up to $190 per sale. Hospitable manages all policies, claims, and guest support, and commissions are paid automatically. Currently available for U.S. properties, the company plans to expand the feature internationally.
