Hostfully Releases the Largest STR & Vacation Rental Tech Stack Study Ever Published

Hostfully released its largest-ever analysis of short-term rental technology adoption, studying 2,248 property managers and more than 31,000 software integrations across portfolio sizes. The report indicated that successful vacation rental operators rely heavily on “tech stacks,” averaging 13 integrated tools, with widespread adoption of payment systems, dynamic pricing, and operations software as portfolios grow. Key findings show 91% use payment tools, 77% adopt dynamic pricing early, and large operators overwhelmingly use cleaning and turnover systems. Marketing and analytics tools scale most sharply with growth, rising from 23% of small hosts to 67% of large ones. Operators with fuller tech stacks save more than seven hours per listing monthly. Hostfully says rising competition and operational complexity make manual management unsustainable, while integrated software ecosystems correlate strongly with higher revenue and occupancy performance.
