Key Data Appoints New CEO as Sprenkle Retires

Key Data has announced a leadership transition as CEO and cofounder Jason Sprenkle retires at the end of May after more than eight years leading the short-term rental data company. Current President Dustin Downing will take over as CEO, bringing nearly 20 years of experience from technology firms including Sabre and OrderMyGear. Sprenkle will remain involved as a board member and adviser during the transition. Under his leadership, Key Data became a major provider of market intelligence and benchmarking for the vacation rental industry, earning him a 2026 Shortyz Pioneer Award. Downing said he plans to expand product capabilities and grow the company’s global reach.
