Manatee County, FL, Explores New STR Regulations

Manatee County, Florida, is moving toward possible new regulations for short-term rentals. County commissioners have directed staff to evaluate options for a potential ordinance that could include licensing requirements, occupancy limits, parking rules, and stronger enforcement tools for repeat violators. This marks the second consecutive year the county has reviewed STR regulations. County staff will now assess what is legally possible under state law before any formal proposal is brought forward for a vote.
