Milwaukee Could Tighten STR Rules, Requiring Operators to Live There

Milwaukee short-term rental (STR) hosts could see more regulations, according to Common Council members, including requiring them to live at the properties. City officials started discussing the issue about a year ago and may consider a rule this fall. Wisconsin law allows communities to regulate STRs, according to Jezamil Arroyo-Vega, commissioner of Mayor Cavalier Johnson's Department of Neighborhood Services.
