Newsom Signs Consumer Protection Bills on Vacation Rentals, Overdraft Fees, and Credit Scores

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has signed consumer protection bills that address vacation rentals, credit scores, and overdraft fees. For short-term rentals, California law will require listings to delineate all of the chores guest need to complete before checkout and what the fees are if you fail to complete them. Consumers should know what chores must be done and the penalties for not completing them before they book their stay.
