Oneida County Modifies Ordinance to Allow for Shorter STR Stays
1/26/2026
Oneida County, Wisc., has amended its short-term rental ordinance to allow stays shorter than six days in certain zones, including single-family, forestry, industrial, and rural residential areas. Previously, rentals under six consecutive days were prohibited. The new rule permits one rental per seven-day period, giving flexibility in the number of nights guests can stay. The change, supported by towns like Three Lakes, aims to boost tourism and local economic activity, keeping visitor spending within the county.
