Pinellas County to Keep Closer Eye on Short-Term Rentals

By April, Pinellas County, Florida, could kick off a program that provides greater control, regulation, and tracking of short-term rentals in unincorporated neighborhoods. Under a proposed ordinance, software will be used to track the advertising of short-term rentals to make sure they register with the county. Each short-term rental operator will have to have their premises inspected to qualify for a Certificate of Use.
