The Sarasota, Florida, City Commission is scheduled to consider proposed Ordinance No. 26-5602 on October 19, which would extend the city's existing vacation rental regulations to properties in the Downtown Neighborhood Zone District. This includes areas previously excluded from the city's broader registration program. A separate proposed ordinance, No. 26-5613, would revise registration procedures, inspection requirements, fees, and advertising provisions. Both measures remain under consideration and have not been adopted.
