Tybee Island, Georgia, to Study Economic Impact of Short-Term Rentals

The mayor of Tybee Island, Georgia, is asking for the city to get an economic impact study before approving new short-term rental regulations. Mayor Brian West said he has two main things in mind when looking at this study. “What would happen if we eliminated a lot of vacation rental homes? And what would the economic impact be." City Council members are set discuss this economic impact study at their next workshop.
