Vrbo Launches Sponsored Search Listings Globally

Expedia Group is launching sponsored listings globally on Vrbo, allowing property partners to appear prominently in relevant search results and only pay when a booking occurs. The feature follows a six-month pilot with nine partners and became possible after Vrbo’s technology replatforming. Expedia is also introducing hotel-style tools, including same-day bookings, nonrefundable rates, flexible cancellation policies, welcome guides, and a host protection program covering chargebacks, property damage, and certain cancellation-related losses. Vrbo properties will soon be bookable through Expedia packages, expanding distribution opportunities.
