Wilmington Again Tables Plans to Regulate STRs

Wilmington, Delaware, lawmakers have again tabled plans to regulate the short-term rental industry and develop a more agreeable approach in the new year. A proposal removed a previous requirement that all owners live in the home, which was a point of contention when Wilmington first began discussing regulations of the market earlier this year. But opponents of the proposal felt it would open the door to an unlimited number of short-term rentals throughout the city and further "incentivize” the industry.
