Greene County Planning Commission Endorses Regulations for STRs
The Greene County, Tennessee, Regional Planning Commission endorsed new regulations for short-term rentals (STRs) during a meeting on May 14. Under the regulations, an STR would be defined as being a property that is meant to be rented out for 30 days or less. The regulations endorsed would not restrict zoning for short-term rentals in Greene County, but would establish minimum regulations, including some addressing health and safety. The new regulations will be subject to a public hearing and considered for final approval by the Greene County Commission at a future meeting of the county’s governing body.
