PetScreening Survey Finds Pet Policies Influence U.S. Travel Plans
A PetScreening survey found that 45% of U.S. pet owners have changed, limited, or canceled travel plans because they could not find suitable pet-friendly accommodations. The impact was stronger among Gen Z pet owners, with 57% reporting changes because of pet policies. The survey of 1,000 adults showed that 64% of pet owners said their pets influence travel decisions, while many spend significant amounts on pet care when traveling without them. John Bradford, founder and CEO of PetScreening, said, “Pets are part of the family, and they are influencing where people go, how long they stay, and whether they travel at all."
