Short-Term Rentals Called Into Question in Annapolis
Maryland's state capital of Annapolis, is trying to limit the number of short-term rentals in new legislation that was introduced at a recent City Council meeting. The bill would halt all new licenses for one year so city officials can study their impact on everything from housing availability to public safety. Exceptions would include permit renewals, owner-occupied rentals, and time during the spring and fall boat shows and around the annual Naval Academy graduation. Earlier in the year, the city said at least half of Annapolis' short-term rentals did not have the proper paperwork.
