Sustainable Holiday Home Bookings Across Europe Have More Than Doubled Since 2020
Interhome reports that sustainable holiday home bookings in Europe’s major tourism markets have more than doubled since 2020. The HomeToGo-owned company found that sustainable properties represented 29.5% of summer bookings in 2025, compared with 16.7% five years earlier. Italy had the highest share of sustainable reservations at 40.1%, followed by Germany, Switzerland, Spain, and France. Growth was driven by increased availability of eco-friendly features such as recycling facilities, electric vehicle charging stations, solar panels, energy-efficient appliances, and water-saving systems.
