Vrbo to Double Commissions for Hosts and Property Managers
Vrbo will move hosts and property managers to a flat 12% commission starting October 29. The change more than doubles the 5% fee currently paid by property managers using property management software and raises the 8% commission paid by other hosts. About 55% of Vrbo listings globally are connected through property management systems, including 51% in the US, according to AirDNA. Vrbo’s announcement did not specify changes to guest fees, which currently range from 11% to 14%.
