It's almost that time of year again!
To celebrate all members and better show prospective members why VRMA can be a great choice for themselves and their businesses, we turned to some current VRMA members to share why they choose VRMA, and why they continue to renew their memberships year after year.
The first member under the spotlight is Pedro Mandoki, president and CEO of Mandoki Hospitality, Inc. Here's what Pedro had to say about being involved in VRMA.
"We discovered VRMA thanks to the owners of First Resort. We purchased their software in the fall of 1990 and got it installed at the end of 1990. During the Annual Meeting of FRS in late 1991 they spoke about VRMA and invited us to go with them to VRMA’s annual meeting. After that meeting, we became members and I served on the Board of Directors for many years and was President of VRMA from 2005 to 2007.
One of the most valuable assets for members is the opportunity to meet and talk with other vacation rental managers and discuss the usual and unusual problems that arise, in other words, networking with fellow vacation rental managers. VRMA also offers the opportunity to meet with vendors who provide us with the latest information and tools to use to improve our businesses
At that first annual meeting I mentioned there were about 100 attendees, and in 2007 when I finished my term as president there were over 700 attendees. At VRMA’s last annual meeting there were over 1,400 attendees present of which I was one. That is tremendous growth!"
