As Super Bowl Looms, Valley Homeowners Prepare to Rent Out Luxury Homes

Phoenix-area short-term rental owners are preparing their properties for the influx of visitors coming to watch Super Bowl LVII on Feb. 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. Many people are getting excited about the upcoming Super Bowl, thinking they're going to make a huge return, said Carson Eilers, designated broker for Original Realty Co. in Scottsdale. Arizona passed a law recently that allows cities to make their own vacation rental ordinances. "At this point, most cities have implemented ordinances or are going in that direction," Eilers said. "Vacation rentals are a hard business model because of the increase of property owners, navigation between city ordinances and giving booking platforms full control of rules and property claims."
