Vacasa Picks Protege of Uber CEO to Be Next Chief Executive

Vacasa is tapping longtime travel executive Rob Greyber to be its next CEO. Greyber, who led Expedia’s Egencia division from 2009 to 2020, will succeed current Chief Executive Matt Roberts, effective September 6. He was a protege of Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi, who was the chief executive of Expedia from 2005 to 2017. “There’s been pressure overall in the market over the last six to 12 months. My focus is going to be on doing the things that are going to create value in the long run,” Greyber said.
