    VRMA Announces New Executive Director

    Untitled design - 2021-07-07T112114.728.pngPlease join us in welcoming VRMA's new executive director, Kimberly Miles, CAE, CMP! Kimberly comes to VRMA with extensive experience in both leading associations and the hospitality sector.

    Kimberly spent 19 years with the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA). In her role as Senior Vice President of Operations, she helped generate $18 million in revenue during her tenure. Over the course of her two decades with AHLA, Kimberly curated and executed the association’s convention and events, educational programming, oversaw business development and steered the strategic and financial planning processes to much acclaim.

    Most recently, Kimberly was a consultant for the AMC Institute, where she managed the execution of AMCI’s annual event while navigating complex safety protocols due to COVID-19. Her familiarity with and expertise implementing the association management model will prove invaluable to the operational relationship with SmithBucklin, VRMA’s management partner.

    “With her impressive and robust track record as a leader, mentor and visionary, Kimberly will bring tremendous value to VRMA. We look forward to collaborating with her in an effort to further accelerate our association’s success,” says VRMA President Toby Babich.

    Kimberly is a graduate of Virginia Tech and has been an active member and held leadership positions on various industry and association boards, committees and task forces.
