Corporations Are Turning To Vacation Rentals for Retreats

As remote and hybrid work schedules continue to be the norm, more brands are scheduling corporate retreats and in-person meet-ups at vacation home rentals as opposed to renting out floors of hotels or resorts, as has been the practice for many years. AvantStay, for one, has seen an increase in corporate retreat bookings for its homes throughout the country, a trend that is particularly strong in California. It has seen a more than fourfold increase in corporate retreat bookings from 2019 to 2022. In recent years, Rosewood Washington, D.C., also has seen a rise in bookings for their townhouse accommodations for corporate retreats and meetings. Gabor L. Vida, managing director at Rosewood, says, “In the last few years, as companies adjust their planning and meeting structure to adjust to today's circumstances, we’re seeing that the needs of meeting organizers are changing as well. Companies are looking for unmatched luxury services while still being able to offer participants the flexibility to comfortably work through various team building and planning needs."
