Member Spotlight: The Value of VRMA

VRMA's Member Spotlight series continues to recognize active members in the VRMA community. This week, read a Q&A with Lela Ray, InterCoastal Net Designs. Ray shares why she joined VRMA, how VRMA’s benefits and opportunities have impacted her career, advice she would give to others in the industry and more.

    Why did you join VRMA?

I joined VRMA through my company's membership as an opportunity to network and learn more about the vacation rental industry that we serve.

What is your favorite VRMA member benefit?

    The education!

How has VRMA impacted your career?

VRMA has given me the opportunity to meet other professionals in our industry and learn more about our industry that I could have ever imagined. It helps me keep a pulse on what's important for vacation rentals.

Would you recommend VRMA to others? If so, why?

Yes! I've met with clients who've asked "what do you really get out of those conferences?" and it blows me away that they've not tapped into the value of VRMA. Networking, advocacy and education are my top reasons to join.

What advice do you/would you give to people new to the vacation rental industry?

Join VRMA early (and when you can afford it) — learning from peers and suppliers is much easier than going it alone!
