    Operto Guest Technologies Acquires STAYmyway

Operto Guest Technologies has bought Spain-based smart hospitality technology company STAYmyway, which has expanded into a premier technology provider across the European accommodation market. Operto intends for the new acquisition to hasten its rollout of the "Accor Key" program, which covers Accor Hotels' portfolio of more than 5,000 properties operating in over 100 countries. STAYmyway has further designed proprietary hardware solutions that allow the upgrading of "offline" locks to BLE/Bluetooth-enabled locks without the cost of replacing the original lock and door. Being able to verify and digitally check in guests before arrival allows operators to drastically lower their staffing and guest administration burden; these solutions shall be known as Operto BOOST. "We are building Operto to help our customers deliver better guest experiences through simple, and affordable, technology solutions," said Operto CEO Steve Davis. "Our acquisition of STAYmyway fits extremely well within this vision. Operto BOOST will help bring pre-arrival guest verification, check-in and mobile entry, into the mainstream for accommodation providers worldwide."
