OYO Purchases Bornholmske Feriehuse in Denmark

Netherlands-based OYO Vacation Homes announced the acquisition of Danish vacation home operator Bornholmske Feriehuse through its subsidiary Danish rental brand DanCenter. DanCenter will expand its portfolio with holiday homes on Denmark's Bornholm island, which has seen rapid development with increasing tourism and visitors. Bornholmske Feriehuse expects to book more than 250,000 guest nights this year. According to OYO, the acquisition underscores its commitment to "Invest in Denmark," an program established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ramp up growth of travel and tourism. "Denmark offers good framework conditions for foreign investors and the opportunity to link local knowledge with international connections and expertise," explained Invest in Denmark Director Anne Hougaard Jensen. "We are happy that OYO chooses to grow its vacation home business out of Denmark." Bornholmske Feriehuse-listed vacation homes will become available for booking over the coming months through 130-plus online portals with which DanCenter works closely. "The collaboration with OYO through DanCenter A/s... gives us the opportunity to keep up with demand, just as our homeowners also benefit from the many online portals that DanCenter collaborates with," said Bornholmske Feriehuse Director Rasmus Lund.
